To implement the Green Deal ambition in the automotive and mobility sector, SMEs and startups are expected to be key drivers due to their innovation potential.

However EU funding instruments often pose barriers to entry for SMEs and startups, while designed to support the innovations these entities work on.

In this paper—published in view of the upcoming EU elections—the FAMN – French Automotive & Mobility Network, as a coalition of competitiveness clusters, outlines its observations and proposes actionable recommendations in order to help unlock the full innovation potential of SMEs and startups.
