French Automotive & Mobility Network
Created in 2007, the French Automotive & Mobility Network represents the French Automotive Industry Platform (PFA) as well as the four French Transport and Mobility Competitiveness Clusters:
- CARA (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes)
- ID4Mobility (Bretagne, Pays de la Loire, Nouvelle Aquitaine)
- NextMove (Ile-de-France, Normandie)
- Pôle Véhicule du Futur (Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Grand Est)
This unique coalition brings together 1450 members including SMEs, large companies, universities and research centers, local authorities and other members such as institutions or NGOs. The industry members are manufacturers, suppliers, transport operators, services providers. They represent more than 70% of the jobs and revenues of the French automotive and mobility sector.
The mobility sector in France stands for 400 000 direct employees. In 2018, 6 billion euros have been invested in R&D by the sector, placing it at the first position in terms of patent filing in France. In order to achieve cleaner, safer and more sustainable mobility we support our members in order to reach the Mobility of Tomorrow through innovation and close-to-market solutions. The stakes are high both for the Industry regarding the necessary technological transformation to reach clean, energy efficient vehicles and the Society concerning the direct automotive sector impact on the citizens’ quality of life.
